A Correlation Between Organizational Transparency Culture With Employee Comprehension Towards “Bandung Juara” Program: A Correlation Study of City Branding in Secretariat Government of Bandung City

Abstract


“Bandung Juara” is a brand name for city branding development program of Bandung City Government in the Ridwan Kamil’s (Mayor of Bandung City)   leadership period. The Government of Bandung City is specifically arrange a   communication strategies to the city stakeholders to actualize the “Bandung Juara” Program. The vision and mission of “Bandung Juara” Program is to make Bandung City to become a city that “Excellent, Comfort and Prosperity”. Furthermore in general is to compete with other countries and regions in terms of attention, influence, markets,   investments, businesses, visitors, residents, talent and events.   Bandung City Government in an effort to actualize the “Bandung Juara”   program was not without a problems, employees comprehension towards the “Bandung Juara” program are still minimum. Employees are still undisciplined while  working, resulting in sluggish on work productivity. Because of that,   researchers want to know about “A Correlation Between The Implementation Of   Organizational Transparency Culture With Employee Comprehension Towards   “Bandung Juara” Program”. The methods that used in this research are quantitative research and correlational analysis. The data collection techniques that used in this research are questionnaires, interviews, observation and literature study. The population of this research is the employees that work in the Secretariat Government of Bandung City. The sampling techniques that used in this research is using the opinion from Taro Yamanne, through that calculation the sample that are obtained for this research are 90 respondents. The theory that authors used in this research is Organizational Culture Theory. The results of this research indicate that The Implementation of Organizational   Transparency Culture can make an impact to the Government of Bandung City   Employee Comprehension towards “Bandung Juara” Program.The suggestions from the authors are that The Government of Bandung City can implement a continuous evaluation of The Implementation of Organizational   Transparency Culture that has been done all this time. Other than that, the   Government of  Bandung City should improve the quality of communication with   employees. This is very required so that there is no misunderstanding about works for the actualization of “Bandung Juara” Program.
